The very first Very Useful Cup...

Maybe it was 2006... that sounds about right. I was working at a temporary studio in Morro Bay CA and thinking of making small items that would also be useful. I don't remember how the first useful cup was made... a mold or by hand? I do remember that I made quite a lot and thought, "Geez, someone better like these." So that was the beginning. There weren't too many left after that first batch went out in to the world and I've been making and refining them ever since. Very useful cups are pretty fun to make: I set the day aside and crank out a batch. Head down and hands to work.

Just so you know... these cups really are very useful. You can't use them to serve dinner to a family of ten, but you can use them for everything else. Give them a try. Browse through the colors and see which ones make you feel happy. Enjoy looking and I hope you'll find your perfect color.
